Gamification is a solution available for Microsoft Dynamics 365 that enables employees to participate in individual and team-based competitions. The idea behind Dynamics 365 – Gamification is to transform employees into game players who earn points by achieving your company’s most important metrics. It’s a fun way to motivate your team to achieve certain pre-defined goals by offering prizes, awards, privileges, and recognition. And everybody loves to compete, don’t they?
Every organization sets metrics they want to measure and these are called “key performance indicators” or “KPIs.” KPIs and goals are fine but not the most fun thing to measure. This all changes with gamification where everyone in the organization is given an instantly-recognizable view of how close they are to achieving those goals. It literally becomes a game. Over the past five years, companies as large and diverse as Nike, Ford, and Texas Instruments have used gamification to encourage better participation and results of company-designated goals and targets in such areas as:
- promoting employee participation
- increasing their skillsets, and
- providing healthy encouragement for teamwork and collaboration to achieve overall company goals
Organizations using Dynamics 365 – Gamification can easily turn sales, customer service, field service, project service or any area you want to track and measure into an exciting game with prizes. For example, imagine a competition for your employees to resolve the most number of cases by the end of the quarter. With Dynamics 365 – Gamification, you can quickly set up this friendly inter-office competition to look like a football game, a car race, cricket match, or other popular sporting event.
You can set metrics in Dynamics to score points in the gamified competition. KPIs scored by the Gamification add-in are based on any activity tracked by Dynamics 365, such as leads created, deals closed, specific products sold, cases resolved, call handle times, and timesheet submissions. It’s basically up to you to decide where you want to create some healthy/fun competition and then set up Dynamics 365 – Gamification to do the scoring for you.
So, when an employee meets a specific metric, a certain number of points are awarded to them. These points are automatically tracked and shown in Dynamics 365 – Gamification as moving the player toward scoring a goal in the game. Keeping score enables prizes and other recognition for top performers. The prizes can be anything; a digital “badge” to display on your Dynamics 365 profile or a trip to a tropical island. The only constraint is your budget!
Dynamics 365 – Gamification also has a “fantasy sports” component to uniquely encourages broader participation by getting more employees in the game. Employees not directly participating in the game can use the fantasy mode to draft teams, or root for their favorite teams.
The Gamification add-in comes free with Dynamics 365 and delivers an immersive, exciting experience that engages and motivates employees to achieve more.
This is not a solution Amaxra sells. This is a blog about capability.
